Inspiration 

Places I have been like Santa fe, New Mexico can create such a feeling of creativity that I can’t wait to paint. Sometimes inspiration comes in unusual places like in the heart if a city. That was what happened yesterday. Amongst all the cars and concrete a bit of nature makes an appearance. This turkey totally surprised me. He let me get pretty close with my camera. I did wonder “are turkeys an aggressive animal?”  They are much bigger than I thought when he stretched his neck in order to reach the bird feeder. But like any artist I treaded  forward to attempt to get a great picture. If I could do that I would have a subject matter to paint.  I think I got Mr Turkey for a possible self portrait.
