$100 Problem

A local art store, Nasco in Fort Atkinson hosted an art show. I have never entered in this competition so I thought I would give it a try. What a surprise it was when I found out that I won first place in the adult category.

The woman I spoke with said that the voting for first place was unanimous.    I loved the piece of wood when I first got it. What should I paint on it?  What would best go with this rustic surface was my first dilemma. An acquaintance  had taken this photo of a bottle of JB in the mud. It was perfect for what I was looking for.

Painting on wood is far from a flat and smooth surface.  It was not easy. Couple this with my wanting a bottle to look like glass was a hair pulling experience as well.  But in the end I was pleased with the results.

I won a Nasco $100 gift card and I am  thinking of the best way to spend it. Not a bad problem to have.
